Norfolk NATO Festival’s Flag Raising, Parade of Nations and NATOFest

Free Family-Friendly Events on April 27 & 28, Downtown Norfolk For more information and a schedule of events, visit www.norfolknatofestival.org NORFOLK, VA – Norfolk NATO Festival (formerly known as the International Azalea Festival) will celebrate all 28 NATO Member Nations with its traditional Flag Raising, lively and colorful Parade of Nations and NATOFest all in Downtown Norfolk April 27 & 28 and all events free and open to the public. The Flag Raising will be held on Scope Plaza at 4:30 pm and will be a colorful display of anthems and flags representing each of the 28 member nations. The Parade begins at 10 am on Saturday, April 28th with floats, marching bands, and festive groups to represent NATO’s member nations. Then the Festival begins at 11 am in Town Point Park with international entertainment, foods and beers. FREE & OPEN TO THE PUBLIC Annual Parade of Nations Downtown Norfolk, Granby Street & Waterside Drive Norfolk, VA 23510 Saturday, April 30th 10:00 am A colorful and exciting combination of international floats, costumes, marching bands, and local community groups, this downtown morning parade steps off from Harbor Park to Waterside Drive, following Boush Street, making a right on Plume Street and then a left on Granby Street. Parade ends at Granby and Freemason Streets.
