The guided-missile frigate Kauffman will return to Norfolk this week after a four-month deployment, according to the Navy.

The ship will return Wednesday to Norfolk Naval Station, a Navy news release says, after being deployed to Latin America and the Caribbean as part of Southern Seas 2009 in support of U.S. Southern Command’s Partnership of the Americas strategy.

The ship has a crew of about 215, the news release says.
