Tickets Now On Sale for Real Pirates at Nauticus

National Geographic Exhibit Showcases Authentic Pirate Ship Artifacts  

Norfolk, VA — Tickets are now available for an upcoming blockbuster exhibit at Nauticus, Real Pirates: The Untold Story of the Whydah from Slave Ship to Pirate Ship, a touring exhibit organized by National Geographic and Arts and Exhibitions International (AEI).

On October 29, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at MacArthur Center, local pirate band The Moody Crewe will be on hand to kick off this exciting event! Admission to this special exhibit is $18.95 for adults, $14.95 for children ages 4 – 12 and free for children ages three and under. Nauticus member admission is $12.95. Group rates are available for groups of 15 and over.  Timed tickets can be purchased at MacArthur Center’s Information Desk via Ticketmaster or at www.nauticus.org and include Real Pirates as well as general admission to Nauticus.  

Opening at Nauticus on November 21, 2009, Real Pirates — a 16,000-square-foot interactive exhibition — showcases more than 200 artifacts from the first fully authenticated pirate ship to be discovered in U.S. waters.  Real Pirates will be on display in the Half Moone Cruise and Celebration Center from November 21, 2009 through April 4, 2010.
