We take harbor cruises most places we go, and this will be a very tough one to beat. not only do you get taking along side Aircraft Carriers, Destroyers, Battleships, and some Navy vessels I don't even know (but they sure looked cool), but the Captain is giving a live narration of what you see. Not canned, he knows the names of the ships that are in at the time, and has a great historical knowledge of the area.

This is an essential "to do" in Norfolk and they do it in a wonderful way. We just loved it. Two hours of non stop information about the Norfolk Harbor, boat yards, river development and a view of the United States Naval Yard from the water that is fabulous. The captain narrated the whole trip and didn't miss a thing. He knew about tonnage and cargo and ordinance and cost-to-build and told it in a way that brought the Norfolk waterfront and the Navy Yard, in particular, alive.

We stayed in Williamsburg and did all the historical stuff. We wanted to see some Navy ships up close and this was very worth the hour drive. The captain and crew were very knowledgeable. Took some amazing photos of the ships docked at Norfolk. This was the best part of our trip.

We bought the combo tour which includes the Museum and the USS Wisconsin. The Captain was very detailed in all the information about both the naval ships and the rest of the harbour. The commentary was at all times crystal clear through the ships sound system. It was an extremely hot day and we are able to sit upstairs and downstairs in the air conditioning when we had to.

This is a well done cruise through the harbor. We were impressed with the knowledge of staff about all the naval ships, as well as the container yards and coal ships, etc. It is a great chance to see all the naval ships that are in port as well as all the ships that are at the different piers.

OMG! What a wonderful chance to see those enormous ships that protect us. We saw so many different ships, aircraft carriers you would be in awe! The newest aircraft carrier in port was the USS George H W Bush. What a wonderful piece of US history along with so many others. Do you cruise in inclement weather?

We typically cruise rain or shine. Our lower deck is enclosed and climate controlled so you’re not going to get wet. If conditions are dangerous or rains are heavy enough that we have visibility issues, we do call everyone who has a reservation to let them know of the cancellation.
